The school welcomes in-zone applications for 2026 for all year levels.
Please check if your current address is in-zone by clicking Address Finder. If your street is not in-zone, your application will be considered as an ‘out-of-zone’ application.
All students living within our home zone are entitled to enrol if they are eligible to attend. If they wish to be part of the BIlingual pathways, they need to apply for a space.

NZ Citizens: Birth Certificate/Passport
Non NZ Citizens: Birth Certificate/Passport and current visa
A copy of the latest school report
Proof of residential address: Rates or utilities bill showing caregiver's name and address
This must be the address where the student lives, dated within the last two months. *Examples of these documents can be a power bill, phone/internet bill.

Kelston Girls’ College can offer placements to 80 students who live outside of our home zone. Where the number of students exceeds the places available, a ballot will be held, applications will be processed in the following order of priority:

Priority 2: Applicants who are siblings of current students
Priority 3: Applicants who are siblings of former students
Priority 4: Applicants who are children of former students

Out of zone enrolments for 2026 are now closed. New enrolment applications will be waitlisted.
Wednesday 27 August 2025: Applications for out-of-zone enrolments must be received to be included in the ballot.
Wednesday 3 September 2025: Ballot Drawn.
Monday 8 September 2025: Results of the Ballot will be notified, and successful applicants will be offered placement.
Friday 19 September 2025: Confirmation from successful applicants to Accept or Decline the offer of placement is required by 4 pm.
Out of Zone Enrolment Interviews will take place:
Monday 18 September, 12pm-5pm
Tuesday 19 September, 9am-1pm

Kelston Girls’ College Board of Trustees has implemented an Enrolment Scheme/ School Zone as directed by the Ministry of Education, effective Term 1, 2023.
Public notice indicating that an enrolment scheme has been implemented.
To avoid overcrowding or the likelihood of overcrowding, the board of Kelston Girls’ College has implemented an enrolment scheme that has been developed by the Secretary for Education. Under this scheme, students will be enrolled if they live within the home zone as described here.
Prospective students who have a sibling enrolled at the school on 1st January 2023 will be treated as in-zone students for enrolment purposes.
The enrolment of out-of-zone students is governed by the provisions of the Education and Training Act 2020. The enrolment scheme, which includes a precise description of the home zone, may be viewed at the school office, where copies of the scheme are also available.
