Kelston Girls' College is seeking a strategic and relational leader for our Te Arahanga Pathway. Te Arahanga as a pathway is a bridge, connecting our diverse learners to their learning, integrating them into our school community, and designing successful pathways into life beyond school.
As the leader of this bridge, this role is responsible for the strategic direction of our inclusive education, language acquisition, and vocational frameworks. Leading a collaborative specialist team, the Head of Pathway ensures every student navigates their educational journey with dignity, confidence, and agency.

Kelston Girls’ College are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Kaiawhina (Learning Navigator) to join our specialist support team, working alongside students with complex needs. This rewarding role involves supporting student learning, wellbeing, engagement, and behaviour within the classroom and wider school environment. This role is fixed term and part time until the end of Term 4 2026.
Hours of work: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9am-3:10pm; Wednesday 9:30am-3:10pm
Key Responsibilities:
You understand and honour the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and have the ability to work in a culturally informed way in our diverse kura
You are passionate about learning outcomes
You will have a highly collaborative working style
You are able to communicate effectively and professionally
You are confident in using digital approaches to learning and are capable of expanding the digital fluency of our students
You are able to support our students who have English as a second language
NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
Satisfactory safety check (including police vetting) required and must be maintained throughout employment
