Due to the Ministry of Education's Enrolment Scheme, places at Kelston Girls' College for all 2027 year levels are subject to capacity restrictions. Prospective families are strongly urged to submit their pre-enrolment applications at the earliest opportunity to avoid missing the intake window.

Required Documentation
All applications must be accompanied by the following verification documents:
Identity Verification: Birth Certificate or Passport (plus a current visa for non-NZ citizens).
Academic Verification: A copy of the student's most recent school report.
Residential Verification: A current rates, power, or internet bill identifying the caregiver's name and physical address. This document must be dated within the last two months to serve as valid proof of residency.

To prevent overcrowding, the Kelston Girls’ College Board has implemented a Ministry of Education-directed enrolment scheme, effective from Term 1, 2023.
In-Zone Enrolments
Students living within the designated home zone are entitled to enrol.
Prospective students with a sibling enrolled at the school as of 1 January 2023 are treated as in-zone applicants.
Out-of-Zone Enrolments
Enrolment for students living outside the zone is strictly governed by the Education and Training Act 2020.

The school welcomes in-zone applications for 2027 for all year levels.
Please check if your current address is in-zone by clicking Address Finder. If your street is not in-zone, your application will be considered as an ‘out-of-zone’ application.
All students living within our home zone are entitled to enrol if they are eligible to attend. If they wish to be part of the Bilingual pathways, they need to apply for a space.
All in-zone enrolments are open all year round.

Kelston Girls’ College can offer placements to 80 students who live outside of our home zone. Where the number of students exceeds the places available, a ballot will be held, applications will be processed in the following order of priority:
