We believe in growing strong young women who lead with integrity and empathy. Our students are encouraged to step into roles that challenge them to grow personally while making a tangible impact on our school and the wider community.
Our Leadership Pathways
Student Leadership Councils: Students can lead within specialised areas, including our Sports, Cultural, and Sustainability Councils, driving initiatives that reflect student voice.
Prefects and Student Ambassadors: Our senior leaders represent the College with pride, acting as the face of the school and role models for our younger wāhine.
House Leadership: A vibrant system where leaders foster whanaungatanga and school spirit through inter-house competitions and events.
Cultural Group Leaders: Aligned with our focus on cultural identity, students take the lead in mentoring their peers for Polyfest and other cultural showcases.
Mentorship and Peer Support
Peer Mediation & Support: Our Peer Mediators act as mentors, supporting students with challenges and building a connected, restorative school.
Academic Coaching: Through Ngā Toa o Kerehana, students are empowered to take charge of their own learning journey, supported by both staff and peer networks.
Student Volunteer Army (SVA)
Our Student Volunteer Army is a powerhouse of student-led initiative. It empowers our young women to take positive action and contribute to the well-being of our local and wider community. Through the SVA, students:
Identify community needs and organise collective service projects.
Earn national recognition through the SVA Service Award program.
Live out the school value of Manaaki i te Hapori (Respect for Community).
