ATTENDANCE PLAN

At Kelston Girls’ College we recognise the importance of regular attendance to help our students achieve their educational potential. We are committed to the Government’s target of 80% attendance of students to be present at school for more than 90% of the term by 2030.

You will find our detailed Attendance Management Plan, which outlines the responsibilities of whānau and the school to ensure our students are supported to be present at school and engaged in their learning.

Attendance Management Plan

To report an absence or lateness to school, whānau are responsible for notifying the school as soon as possible. This can be done by either calling the school: 827-6063 ext 927 or by email to: attendance@kelstongirls.school.nz

  • Students who are late to school, will be marked as L and on arrival to school they must sign in and go directly to their classes.

  • If whānau do not notify the school of an absence, the student will be marked TRUANT. Each day the school will send a text when a student is absent, so please ensure your contact details are kept up to date by contacting the Ngā Toa o Kerehana Kaiako or Year Level Kaimanaaki.
