The Scholarship is in memory of Penina Latu who passed away on the 11th May, 2016 after a short illness. Penina was a prefect and a highly respected young woman who lived her life to the highest standard and always tried her best.

This scholarship is open to Year 12 students intending to continue Year 13 at Kelston Girls’ College in 2025.  It is intended to cover some of the students’ educational expenses for 2025.

 There are two scholarships awarded each year. The value of the scholarship is $500 and is credited to the school account of the student in Term 1, 2025.

Applicants should have:

•    NCEA Level 1 endorsed with merit or excellence and on track for merit or excellence endorsement at Level 2

•    Evidence of Leadership, community involvement and observation of The Kelston Way

•    Evidence of excellent attendance and academic attainment from Year 9 to Year 12

Applicants are advised to research the history and work of New Zealand Rotary.
